Bangkok : Day 4

So now we're on Day 4 for my Bangkok trip. Now this day 4 is the day everyone bled the most. In bleeding I meant spending money of course. Because day 4 is SHOPPING DAY!

This day is like a free day for everyone. No wake up calls, no definite plans, just plain flexible shopping day. But having saying this, shopping day also meant not-many-photos day. Shopping comes before photos. Lol. Actually, we just went to shopping malls and stuff. So normal, no need snap photos lar. Hahaha. Let's begin.

Morning activity is flexible. There are some who wants to walk around the Pratunam area. Some WALKED the Pratunam area. So we decided to have the morning free. Wanna shop, shop. Wanna sleep, sleep. I opted for the sleep, because I walked around the area already. And I have been sleep deprived for a few days. So ZZZ away! But I did wake up and shopped around the Pratunam area. Unfortunately, most shops in the Pratunam area sells ladies fashion, only a handful of shops sell men's fashion. *sigh* But that didn't stop me from buying!

1 for casual wear 2 for home wear

Hoodie!

2 shirts which doesn't really have the Eugene feel. I can't imagine how I would look when I wear these. Lol.
I realized most shops don't allow trying. Especially the night markets and the non-shopping mall shops. Then how to know if the sizes fit? Estimate lor. If back home can't fit, bye bye lor. Weird. Anyway, that's the products from morning shopping. Lol.

Then, we gathered, had lunch, and walked to Platinum Mall. Nothing much to write about here, because it's a shopping mall, and the shops are almost the same back in Malaysia. But we just roamed around the place, just to roam around. Lol.

Next, we went to Central World. Why? DESSERT. Yup, you read that right. There's a dessert cafe very popular in Bangkok. It's called After You Dessert Cafe. We came all the way to Central World just for this place. Central World is like that Pavilion of Bangkok in my opinion. Nice settings. Expensive shops. Even the eye candies are better there. Hahaha.. But that's not the point. The point lies with After You. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Plus, I'll rank them. Hahahah..

Strawberry Pancake

This dessert, in my opinion, tastes normal. I mean it's very common. I'm sure we can find the same in Malaysia. But the pancake is really soft. The taste.... mehhh.. This ranked the lowest.

Two-tone Kakigori

This is similar to our bingsu. Well, the whiter part is vanilla, and the darker part is coffee-ish. They provided, if I remember correctly, chocolate syrup for additional taste. As mentioned early, it's like bingsu. So pretty much it's like flavored ice. I couldn't really remember about this because for me, it's not that good. But still better than the pancake. So yeah, 4th it is.

Shibuya Honey Toast

We ordered this because it's a must-try dessert according to some blogs. I think they exaggerated this dessert. I'm not saying it's not good. I'm just saying it's not OMGWTF good. As the name suggests, they provide honey instead of butter. And the toast is quite well made. It's still warm when they served it. And still crunchy. Unlike certain shops in Malaysia, the toast is cold and soft. Thus, it ranks 3rd.

Banana Crumble
The banana version of apple crumble. The name might sound common, but this tastes quite good. Seriously. It's not really special when it comes to the taste, but when warm crumble comes together with cold ice cream, fireworks! Lol. And it's not too sweet. The proportion is just right. Yum~

Cheddar Cheese Toast
And the winner is Cheddar Cheese Toast! I don't even know how to tell how awesome this dessert is! It's very cheesy, of course, so those who are not a fan of cheese, please stay away from this dessert. Hahaha.. The cheese is not like those cheap cheese. The cheese here is really cheesy. This is the OMGWTF dessert for me. Added with vanilla ice cream. OMGWTF indeed! The saltiness, the sweetness, the texture, all so right! My friends are not a fan of this, so yeah, more for me! Heeeee~

Well after the really good dessert, we went to Big C. They wanted to buy junk food. I'm not really a fan of junk food, so I didn't buy anything there. After Big C, we went back to the hotel for dinner and to rest. The highlight of the day is really Cheddar Cheese Toast. *drools* I want it~ But it's only in Bangkok. *Sobs*

Bangkok : Day 3 (The Singlet Day)

It's the third day in Bangkok! And it's the self-proclaimed Singlet Day! Since all of us bought singlets in Khao San the day before, we hiao a bit and decided everyone should wear singlet today. Take it as a theme or something. So, the itinerary for the day is Don Wai floating market, and Terminal 21.

First stop: Don Wai Floating Market! Here's the thing, there's a more famous floating market in Bangkok. The biggest and the most original floating market it seems. The name is Damnoen Saduak floating market. So, we should be going there instead right? But! I happened to be a worrier and did some research with my friend. We read reviews from bloggers who actually went there. It seems that the place is actually butchering tourists. Understandable lar. But some of the reviews claimed that the price hike is too much. One of the bloggers said that an item which costs roughly TB200 can hike up to TB500 in the market. Ouch. I can't remember what item is that nor where I read that review. And name pun dah floating market kan, of course you'll need a boat. One boat for 4 people costs TB1000+. Habis. Mahal betul. Most reviews say that we should go at least once lar. You know, try eating on a boat, take it as a cruise around the area, stuff like that. But don't buy anything from the sellers besides food. Food pun more expensive in the market, or so they say.

I think most taxi companies in Bangkok have some business deal with the floating market. Every taxi driver we met was hard selling the floating market. They even have some information pamphlet or poster ready for us to view. They were like, "This is the best! The most original floating market! Very good! Many tourists go there!" etc. Of course they wanna earn also lor. A trip to the Damnoen Saduak floating market from our hotel takes more than 2 hours, and the taxi drivers gonna charge us TB1000 per trip. Damn expensive lor! Which is why we ended up in Don Wai floating market.

Talking bout Don Wai floating market, we managed to get the hotel management to find a taxi for us. The fare was TB700 I think, to and fro. Cheaper than going to Damnoen Saduak lor. And the ride will take roughly 1 hour. But the place is really out of the way lar. Quite secluded also. No wonder no one wants to drive us there. It's kinda like those markets found in the rural areas.

We reached Don Wai at 10+ but sadly most shops started to close already. WTH. Close so early for what?!!! Maybe it's the rural area setting, everyone goes to market early. Or it's just us being too late. It's like a normal market, but just situated next to a river. So most of the stalls are on top of the river lor. And since most shops are closed, we finished walking around the area quite fast. Nothing to see, nothing to buy. We decided to settle our brunch there, since all of us skipped breakfast. Nothing much to talk about this market. If anyone wants to go there, must go early. If not you'll be greeted by empty stalls. =(

My friend made this. I don't even know when he took this.

The food I had in the floating market. Nothing too special.

Wefie is a must!
After the floating market, we decided to go back to the hotel first. Everyone woke up early so we decided to rest for a while. I bathed and nope, I did not sleep. I FB-ed a while using the hotel's wifi. At roughly 3.00, everyone gathered and we went to Terminal 21. We walked to the BTS Station and took the train to Terminal 21.

What can I say about Terminal 21? It's similar to our Pavilion. Expensive brands. Beautiful decorations. Eye candies everywhere. Lol. But it seems that every floor of the shopping mall has a different theme. Like Paris, or Istanbul. Even the toilets' decorations are different! I can't remember which floor I took the photos, so I'll just let you decide.

Sumo hugging a pillar.

Front view of the toilet.

Oooh bamboo taps.

Roofed cubicles.

Lol the timing is too ngam.

So many mirrors, perfect for narcissist who likes to look at themselves. Lol.

Hotel Transylvania Combo Set. I doubt we have it in Malaysia.

Oscars? Or Grammys?

Pretty lights!

Baking "Chocolate Cake" in the toilet. XD

Roaring taps.

Let's hope somebody don't get seasick.

This must be a Japanese themed toilet. xD

Yep. The entrance.

Different coloured lights.

These are the lanterns on of the floors. Must be the Japanese floor. Lol.

Samurai in glass.

Meowwww~

A cute stall selling coffee. The coffee is kinda nice though. Too bad there's no picture.

An army on guard.

Bling bling!

Love is the word here.

Stumbled upon this cute bear in front of one of the restaurants. So cute lar.

A different angle. Still cute.

Monkey pirates. Lol.

There are really nothing much to say about this place besides the decorations. It's quite a high class shopping mall in my opinion. Judging from the decorations can see lor. Anyway, we had dinner at this mall's food court. I like the system in the food court. First, you'll go to the counter to credit some money into a card. Any amount is alright. But at least TB100 lar. Then, you take the card to the stalls and order whatever food you want. The staff will take your card and swap it. When you're about to leave, you can the card back to the counter to get back all the money left in the card. It's like using a prepaid card really. You give money, they give card. You take card and swap. Then you give card, they give money. Simple kan. Plus you don't need to hold that much cash everywhere. Just hold a card and you can go order. Can top up if not enough credit. I like it because it's less messy this way. Order, swap, take food, leave. Very systematic and organized. I thought only this shopping mall practices this system, but we ate at another mall's food court using this system too. I think most of the shopping malls in Bangkok use this system in their food court. The food in the food court is quite nice too. Wide range as well. Chicken rice, mango sticky rice, pad thai, tom yum, basil chicken, coconut ice cream. I didn't take photos of the food because it's quite common in Bangkok. But they are really tasty. *drools* Oh the coconut ice cream~ *drools*

Well after dinner, we stop by a train station. It seems there's a night market near the station. I can't remember the station's name though. But sadly, the night market closes on that day. Too bad then. Nothing much to do, head back to hotel lor. Semua pun dah tired from walking. That's it for day 3.

Bangkok: Day 2

Rise and shine! Not that I wanted to, but I forgot to draw the curtains last night. So the sun was shining straight at my face. How to not wake up? But I woke up just slightly earlier than I was supposed to. So still ok lar. Lol. Anyway my friend woke up even earlier. He said he woke up at 7.00. Why so early?!!!! Can't sleep it seems. Hmmm.. I had quite a good sleep. But seeing it was me, I always have good sleep. Hahaha.. So he said he went down and walked the nearby streets.

A stall selling various satays.
All these smell so goooddddddddd.. But I didn't try any of it as we were heading out already. BUT! There is one thing I did try.

This tastes so goooddddd!
THE PORK SATAYYYYYY~!!!!!!!! Oh the fragrance!! Oh the taste!! Seriously this is good. It's one of the top food I had throughout my trip. It taste different from the satays in Malaysia. In a good way. Just. So. Good. After this first time, I went and bought from the stall every morning religiously. Even the aunty started to recognize me. Lol. Well anyway, back to the day 2 activities.

The organizer scheduled the day as the Wats Day. The temples in Bangkok are called wats, and we're going to visit some of them. First stop: Grand Palace. I didn't go in as they need an entrance fee of TB500 (which is quite a big sum considering I spent so much the previous day) and long trousers. I was wearing shorts. No problem there, just head to the reception and pay TB200 as deposit for their long trousers. So, considering I'm not really a big fan of places like these, I didn't enter. In fact, all of us didn't enter. We're on a budget here. Lol. But I did take a few photos here and there. Time to test my photography skills. Haha..

We didn't spend much time here. Just walked around and snapped some random photos. Once we're done, we walked to the next destination: Wat Pho.

A tree growing over the fence. Somehow I feel like snapping a photo of it.

One of the roofs in Wat Pho.

We spent even shorter time here. It's smaller compared to Grand Palace, but it seems that they have a bigger statue of the Lying Buddha in the temple. We, of course, decided not to enter again, as we're short of cash. Lol. I prayed outside the temple though, asking for blessings to pass all my subjects and graduate this semester. I was very worried, considering I couldn't really answer my last subject. Oh well. Everything is fated right. *sigh* Well anyway, we went to the next wat: Wat Arun.

To get to Wat Arun, I need to take a boat to cross the lake. The wat is like a place which is surrounded by a lake, and the only means of transportation there is by a boat. So, we took a boat from the Tha Tien port, and the fare costs TB3 per person. So cheap! It's only roughly RM0.30! Wow. I thought they'll butcher the tourists as Wat Arun is kinda famous.

The pier.

Another mandatory wefie on the boat.

We arrived at Wat Arun! The place is really calm and quiet. It gives a very peaceful and tranquil vibe. It's like whatever problems you have in your mind, they don't matter in this place. You don't feel troubled, worried or anxious. You just feel peace. Unlike Grand Palace or Wat Pho, which are crowded with tourists, this place is much awesome-er.

One of the statue.

Another statue. Gargoyle?

The place for tourists to rest I suppose.

Prettyyyyy.

Notice the construction at the back? They're rebuilding/renovating/upkeeping the old temple.

Wefie again. xD

We finished walking around this place quite quickly because it's kinda small. And it's still early. So we decided to head to Khao San aka The Backpacker's Street (according to the taxi driver). The journey from Wat Arun to Khao San took about 15 minutes. Khao San, for me, is like a better version of Petaling Street. They have roadside shops. The street is clean. No weird weird people. The people there are all eye candies. (good for me!) We walked separately as we want to see different things. I noticed there's a shop selling singlets. One of my aims in Bangkok is to shop for singlets. Lol. Weird right. I walked the street and noticed the place is also full of ang mohs. Handsome, tall, fit, dreamy eyes ang mohs. *melts*

The singlets I bought from Khao San. Just TB100 per piece.
Well, apart from shopping and looking at ang mohs, I did get a massage. My friend was like dying to have a massage, so I agreed to go with her. I noticed some massage places have only all masseuses, while some have masseuses and masseurs. Of course I wanted those with masseurs! Hahaha.. But then...... my friend immediately entered one with only masseuses and settled everything with the front desk and even paid! Takkan I alone go to the one with masseurs kan. So I entered reluctantly lor.

As the massage group consists of 4 guys and a girl, I thought the girl will be massaged alone. I was wrong. Lol. It ended up with me and another guy will have our massage in another room. Oh well. Away from the gang but I'll have some quiet time myself. Hahaha.. I do not know how to evaluate the massage. It's very different from the ones I have in KL. The massage I had in KL is more towards kneading. My calves, shoulders and of course.... *wink* LOL! But the one in Bangkok is leaning towards stretching. Everything was alright except when the masseuse elbowed my inner thigh. WTFFFFFF!! Painful like anything. OMGGGGG! I almost shouted. Lol. And it was very near to my dick too. So I guess the nearer the place is to your dick, the more painful it'll feel. Hahaha.. And because I was having Thai massage, the masseuse didn't use oil. So everything was dry and rough. To use oil, I'll need to go for oil massage, which costs TB300. The Thai massage only costs about TB250. All in all, it was a good experience. I especially liked the massage when the masseuse did the foot massage. It was so heavenly! It's not as ticklish as I thought it would, and with the right points and strength, so relaxing. I will definitely get a massage whenever I'm in Thailand. Hopefully I'll get a masseur next time. Lol.

Well the funny thing is, when I'm done with my massage, and I looked over to my friend, his masseuse was panting. LOL!!!! I asked her if she's okay, and everyone laughed. Hahahaha.. Must be quite embarrassing for my friend. Lol. My friend is on the heavier side, so I guess she had to massage real hard. Seriously really funny at that time. xD

After the massage, we went to McD to find the others who didn't want a massage. Might as well settle our dinner there. Well, the regular set in Bangkok is our large set in Malaysia. Just the fries and drinks though. The burger remained regular. Lol. Nothing too special. BUT! They have pork burgers and pineapple pies. Oooooh the pineapple pies! It's so much better than the lychee pie, or the vegetarian pie, or the apple pie! A recommended food indeed.

So after our dinner, we decided to go to a place for a drink. I suggested we go to a place called Superflow. I happened to discover the place by chance during the day and it looked like quite a nice place to chill. So everyone agreed and we ordered some beers. But no ohm lar like that. So my friend said everyone should order some shots. I ordered one called Blowjob. Lol! There's another one called Cum or something. Hahahaha.. The staff laughed at my choice so I jokingly said, "I'll wait in the toilet." Lol! Nothing to special about this Blowjob. Of course it's white, unless there are semen of other colours. LOL. It's creamy, and vanilla-ish, and there's no kick to the shot. I drank it like I'm drinking milk or something. Definitely for the ladies. Less alcohol, and slightly sweet. But who will order a Blowjob? Hahahaha...

Yup. I do love Khao San.

A hottie ang moh in blue. *melts* Definitely look better in person.

Khao San at night.

Superflow during the day.

Another side of Superflow during the day.

Another hottie! Handsome ang moh DJ. Looks much much handsomer in person.

Swinging seats?

A bed. Lol. So convenient. Hahaha..

The beer we had.

A fountain.

Wefie when we're sober.

Wefie when we're slightly high.

I tried to look cool, but I don't think it suits me. =(

Some random alcohol mixed with juice we ordered. Tastes like teh O limau ais. Lol..

Of course there's a photo of me in bed. Lol.

After we're done, we headed back to the hotel.

There's this video of me Blowjob-ing. Hehehe.. Anyone who's reading this who wants to see it can Whatsapp me or something. I can't seem to upload it here.
